About Us

The idea was a fairly simple one; provide a fabulous base for cyclists, their families and non-riding partners. A place where you’re encouraged to switch off and escape regardless of whether you’re out on the bike, lying by the swimming pool or kicking back in our café.

Based on the doorstep of the Pyrénées in the Ariège (09 | Zero Neuf) department of Southern France, we’re just an hour from Toulouse and Carcassonne airport. We have painstakingly transformed a once derelict farm and its land into stylish and comfortable accommodation and a saltwater swimming pool and garden offering panoramic views of the high mountains.

We have incredible cycling from the front door with flat, lumpy and high mountain terrain that caters to all abilities. We welcome cyclists of all ambitions and we adopt a strict no ‘rules’ policy. You can stay and ride on your terms and we can look after groups, families (childcare is available on site), couples and singles on a catered, bed & breakfast or self-catered basis.

Café ZeroNeuf serves up the excellent roasts of Workshop Coffee and local craft beer comes from the brilliant Brasserie de Quercorb. Our wines are sourced from local bio vineyards. Amazing homemade eats, cakes and snacks come courtesy of MadebyJoss.

We also offer guiding to residents and non-residents and Giant TCR Advanced Pro Di2 Disc bikes are available to rent on site.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to ZeroNeuf!

We are an hour’s drive from both Toulouse Blagnac and Carcassonne airport.

British Airways (http://www.britishairways.com), Easyjet (http://www.easyjet.com) and FlyBe http://www.flybe.com) fly regularly to and from Toulouse and Ryanair (http://www.ryanair.com) serves Carcassonne.

Toulouse is 9 hours from London, with a quick change in Paris and there are up to 4 trains per day. For more information, please visit http://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/train/france/toulouse.

Depending on your time of arrival we are just over an hour’s drive from the main Toulouse Matabiau station.

If you are arriving by train or plane, most of the major car hire companies are represented at both airports and the train station in Toulouse. You can visit https://www.holidayautos.com for more information and prices.

If you use France’s excellent autoroute network we are between 9 – 11 hours drive from the main French ferry ports and EuroTunnel terminal. In our experience, the driving in France is generally straightforward and you can break the journey with plenty of stops as you pass many wonderful towns, cities and villages along the way! Please note, we will provide detailed directions & instructions as part of your booking confirmation.

If you’re driving down from any of the northern French ports and you’re looking for a place to stop overnight, this place is terrific and pretty much bang on half way:

Joss Tucker

Mike is a very proud Welshman but considers himself a true ‘francophile’. Joss is half French and has spent large parts of her life in France visiting family and teaching at Pau University. She speaks the language fluently and Mike’s ability improves considerably when he’s had a drink.

Mike’s world revolves around cycling; to say he is passionate about the bike is an understatement and he’ll be your main point of contact for anything cycling related during your stay. Joss is also a keen cyclist but her real passion is art & design and her talents are on display all over ZeroNeuf. An excellent cook, Joss takes responsibility for all of our catering and she’s also a master of kids entertainment.

Mike and Joss live full-time in France with sons Max (11) and Manny (9), their friendly dogs Guinness, Alfie & Lola, ‘Put Put’ the very laid back cat and four laying hens.
